How To Be More Vascular.
I know that feeling. We all want the veins to come out especially on the arms. It looks good. The problem still stands though, if you don’t have a lower body fat, you wont be vascular. The other problem is that most of it is actually genetics. Some people are just more vascular by default. Sucks for the rest of us right?
Fortunately you can still be vascular. You will just have to work for it. First we have to establish how quickly you need to be vascular. I’m not stupid, I know you’ve got a date rolling around the corner and you want to look good. I got you covered like always with this article but I’ll expand upon this a little for you.
If you have time at the gym you’ve got to figure out what makes you get vascular faster and last longer. You only have 2 options really. Heavy lifting or light lifting. So it’s like, 3 sets of 8 vs. 5 sets of 5. You might be able to get away with a little less or you might have to do a little more. I wouldn’t know though, I’m not you.
Regardless you have to do both. I know, I threw a curveball at you, sorry. But it’s true regardless. Both types of lifting activate different parts of muscles which stimulates more blood flow. You’ll have to lift heavy first. Then lift lighter. The perform some sort of isometric exercise.
For starts try this out on your biceps. Do…
5 sets of 5 hammer curls supersetted with tricep dips till failure (yes this will hurt like hell).
Then perform 3 sets of 8 hammer curls as quickly (but as effectively) as you can. DO NOT swing that weight. If you have to stop and wait at the 6th rep that’s fine. Breath for a few seconds and finish the set. Either way, take at max 15 seconds between each set. If it hurts you’re doing it right. Hey, you wanted to get vascular, remember…
Finally finish it off with some concentration curls. 2 sets of 15 outta do it.
Now listen, I understand that can be a lot for your arms but I want to explain something to you. Do not be a curl monkey. If you curl all the time at the gym you will never see results in the rest of your body. Also your arms are very small muscles. They need time to recover. I train my biceps and triceps specifically every 5 days. It used to be every 7. I had to work on the recovery part but seriously think about it. 5 days. They need time. arms look good for 4 days straight too, I promise. You’ve got to train hard to get the results you want. They’ll stay there if you train hard and do everything else right.
Bottom line, don’t become addicted to being vascular. Got someone to impress? Fine. I get it. But you don’t have to impress people every day.
